Back in 2009, The Duke of Edinburgh came to Cambridge to meet the university boat crew and to name the 2009 Blue Boat “The 800th”. The occasion was part of a series of events held in celebration of the 800 years of people, ideas and achievements that continue to transform and benefit the world.
